IND vs SL, 1st Test, Day 4 Highlights: Dhawan, Rahul help 'Men in Blue' gain 49-run lead

Sri Lankans who ended Day 3 of the Kolkata Test at 165 for 4 courtesy Angelo Matthews and Lahiru Thiramanne's half centuries, have taken the lead in their first innings of the match.

The visitors were in a commanding position after their bowlers bowled out the hosts for a paltry 172.

The Lankans were on the backfoot with the initial opening jitters effected by Bhuvneshwar Kumar but they staged a positive comeback with a strong partnership by Angelo Matthews and Lahiru Thiramanne.
