Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal, who missed the first test match against India due to pneumonia, will make a comeback in the second test. Apart from Chandimal, left-handed batsman Lahiru Thirimanne has been recalled by the team as a replacement for injured Asela Gunaratne.The second test match between India and Sri Lanka will commence on Thursday. Talking about Thirimanne, he will make a comeback in the team after one year. As per the ESPNcricinfo report, left-arm spinner Lakshan Sandakan will replace seamer Suranga Lakmal as the latter is suffering from a back problem.

Thirimanne, who is coming back after a year, has scored 1056 runs in 26 Tests. His highest score is 155 not out, which he made against Bangladesh at Galle in March 2013.

In the first test, India trounced Sri Lanka by 304 runs at Galle. The Indians declared their second innings at 240 for 3, thereby posting a massive 550-run target for the hosts. The Indian seamers rocked the Lankans with early wickets before opener Dimuth Karunaratne and Niroshan Dickwella forged a valiant partnership to get the Lankan innings back on track.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin weaved some spin magic to rip through the Lankan middle order. Karunaratne fell three short of his century as Ravichandran Ashwin scalped him at 97. Ravindra Jadeja polished off the tail by dismissing Lahiru Kumara.The Lankan innings folded for 245, giving India its biggest win in terms of runs on foreign soil.
