India thrashed Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the lone T20I at R.Premadasa stadium, Colombo. Skipper Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey were the architects of the victory with their brilliant half-centuries.
The Lankans were put in to bat by India after they won the toss and they got off to a good start. However, as has been the case throughout the tour, the Indian bowlers struck just as it seemed that Dilshan Munaweera would play the innings of his life.
The Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav applied the brakes on the opposition's run rate apart from snaring five wickets between them.
This led to the Lankans scoring 170 runs in their stipulated 20 innings courtesy excellent knocks from Munaweera and Priyanjan. Indian skipper Virat Kohli took matters in his own hands after Rohit Sharma was dismissed cheaply by Sri Lankan spearhead Lasith Malinga.
KL Rahul played a small cameo and Manish Pandey offered fabulous support to Kohli in the run chase.Kohli hit majestic 82 runs from only 54 balls whereas Pandey hit an unbeaten-half century to lead the team to a well-deserved victory.

It was the first time that an Indian cricket team registered an all-win record across formats in an overseas tour.
This win also helped India equal Australia's record for a complete sweep of an opponent in all formats of a tour. The Australians had crushed Pakistan 9-0 in the 2010 series down under and India has equaled them by drubbing Sri Lanka in their backyard.
