New Delhi:

Ravindra Jadeja was the star as he picked up 4/34 to bundle West Indies out for a paltry 104 in the fifth and final ODI. Jadeja was well backed-up by the other bowlers who took wickets at regular intervals. Chasing 105, India lost Shikhar Dhawan cheaply but Rohit Sharma continued his great form. His 37th fifty and his 99-run stand with Virat Kohli gave India a massive nine-wicket win and helped them win the series 3-1. Along the way, Rohit became the second Indian to go past 200 sixes in ODIs. (SCORECARD)

That is all from us here. The Twenty20 series begins on November 4 with the first match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. By the way, this is Virat Kohli's sixth consecutive trophy at home

Virat Kohli, Man of the SeriesBecause of our clinical performance, we were able to finish the game in a few hours. Wanted to bowl first anyway. Still had to execute our plans. Last both games have been clinical, very professional with ball and bat. Change-room atmosphere is very important, and when you play like that, the energy is always good. Everyone wants to be part of it.

Ravindra Jadeja, Man of the MatchWhenever I come on the field, I try and give my best. Try and take my opportunity with both hands

Jason Holder: Not the finish we were looking for. Lacked consistency in last couple of games. Didn't bat well. Credit to the guys, admirable performance against India in India.

Rohit Sharma seals the deal in style as India register a thumping nine-wicket win in the final ODI to win the series 3-1. West Indies showed some fight in two out of the five ODIs but in other games, they were just not up to the challenge.

India need just seven runs to clinch the series. The scary part is: The whole match will be done before the break. This is the real definition of a one-sided game.

Rohit Sharma slams his 37th fifty and India are motoring towards a series win. This has truly been a sensational innings and India are just 12 runs away. This has been a one-sided contest.

Now we know why Rohit Sharma is known as the 'Hitman'. He becomes only the second Indian after MS Dhoni to hit 200 sixes in ODIs. What a performance from him this series. Truly been sensational.

India are making steady progress, with Kohli looking in great touch. Meanwhile, Rohit needs one more six to enter the 200 sixes club.

Tragedy for West Indies. Oshane Thomas gets Rohit to edge a delivery that nips away but he has overstepped by a massive margin. This is very unfortunate and to rub salt into the wounds, Rohit is caught off the free-hit as well.

Roach is bowling brilliantly at the other end as he has figures of 4-2-7-0. He is really troubling Rohit Sharma but on the other hand, Kohli is looking in great touch.

India are scoring at a rate of five per over. Rohit and Kohli look in good touch. West Indies need to take some quick wickets.

Virat Kohli gets going with three boundaries. If he continues in this vein, the chase could be over in a jiffy.

WICKET! Dhawan's miserable series comes to an  end. Back of a length ball close to the off stump, Dhawan looks to run it down to third man with an angled bat but gets an inside edge that knocks the off stump back. Shikhar Dhawan b Oshane Thomas 6 (5).

Welcome back for the run-chase. India will be hoping to chase this total down before lunch. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will be aiming to score some quick runs.

Oshane Thomas is trapped LBW and even the review cannot save him. West Indies are bowled out for 104 and India will be determined to chase this down quickly and clinch the series.

WICKET! West Indies have crossed 100 but Kemar Roach blasts Jadeja down the ground but it takes a good catch from Kedar Jadhav to dismiss him. Third wicket for Jadeja and third catch for Jadhav. Superb stuff.

Almost another one! Kuldeep traps Roach LBW and the batsman takes the review. Replays show it is spinning past leg stump. Good review and Windies hopes of reaching 100 stay alive.

WICKET! Kuldeep Yadav gets into the act. Flighted delivery and Keemo Paul miscues the lofted shot and holes out to long on. Can they reach 100? Keemo Paul c Rayudu b Kuldeep 5 (18).

WICKET! Khaleel Ahmed gets the big wicket of skipper Jason Holder. Back of a length ball and it stops on Holder who checks his lofted shot, he ends up chipping it and Jadhav dives forward to take the catch. Jason Holder c Jadhav b Khaleel 25 (33).

India opt for the review against Keemo Paul for an LBW appeal. Kuldeep Yadav got the ball to turn back in and gets hit on the pad, however, the ball is just clipping leg stump and since the original decision was not out, the decision will stay. However, India do not lose the review.

WICKET! Jasprit Bumrah gets another wicket. Well-directed short ball on leg stump, Allen top-edges the pull shot to fine leg where Kedar Jadhav leans forward and takes a good, low catch. Fabian Allen c Jadhav b Bumrah 4 (11). West Indies 66/6

India are going for the kill now. Barring Jason Holder, West Indies do not have much depth in their batting. Jadeja is getting superb turn and bounce, factors which make him deadly.

WICKET! West Indies are sinking fast. Rovman Powell's resistance ends. Khaleel Ahmed bowls a short ball and Powell pulls it straight to Shikhar Dhawan at deep square leg. Rovman Powell c Dhawan b Khaleel 16 (39).

WICKET! Jadeja gets the massive wicket of Shimron Hetmyer and this time, India get a review spot on. Flatter ball bowled from round the wicket and it angles across, it straightens and Hetmyer is trapped back on the crease. He misses it and India appeal, Kohli opts for the review and replays show the ball pitched in line with no bat and was hitting middle stump. Shimron Hetmyer LBW Jadeja 9 (11).

Tame dismissal for Marlon Samuels and his poor series comes to end. The ball spins away and stops on Samuels who just chips it to short cover, the fielder runs in and takes the catch. Marlon Samuels c Kohli b Jadeja 24 (37).

Expensive start for Khaleel Ahmed. Samuels blasts a six straight down the ground and then whips a full ball to the deep mid wicket fence. A partnership is building for West Indies. After nine overs, the Windies are 30/2.

Bhuvneshwar and now Bumrah have bowled maiden overs. West Indies are hanging in there but the conditions are challenging.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been warned for officially running into the danger area of the pitch. Samuels responds with two cracking boundaries, one to long off and another a whip to mid on. West Indies are making a move on here.

Rovman Powell breaks the shackles with a lofted shot off Jasprit Bumrah to the long-off fence. The Kerala crowd break into applause for that shot.

Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar are getting plenty of swing both off the deck and in the air. It seems as if they are bowling in England. West Indies batsmen are really struggling.

WICKET! Jasprit Bumrah also strikes in his first over. Good length ball and it nips back in off the deck, Shai Hope leaves a gap between bat and pad as he looks to defend, the ball takes the inside edge and the top of off stump is pegged back. Shai Hope b Bumrah 0 (5).

WICKET! Superb stuff from Bhuvneshwar and MS Dhoni moves up the charts among wicketkeepers with most ODI dismissals. Bhuvi gets this full ball to swing away after angling it across, Kieran Powell drives and the edge is taken by Dhoni. Kieran Powell c Dhoni b Bhuvneshwar 0 (4).

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid, has officially been inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame. He was presented a plaque by former skipper and little master Sunil Gavaskar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is opening the bowling and is getting some swing. Conditions are overcast and this will assist Bhuvi in getting some swing.

Here are playing XIs of both sides

India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, K Khaleel Ahmed, Jasprit Bumrah

West Indies have chosen to bat in the final ODI and they are without Ashley Nurse, ruled out of the whole tour due to injury. Surprisingly, Virat Kohli makes no changes to the side.

The big question will be regarding MS Dhoni. Just before the match, the fans unveiled a huge 35-foot poster of the former Indian captain expressing their love to Mahi. Will this help Dhoni in regaining some form?

Hello and a warm welcome to the final ODI between India and West Indies from Thiruvanathapuram. Virat Kohli's side will be determined to clinch the series while West Indies will be gunning to level the scoreline in what has been a competitive series
