The Indian Premier League franchise has shortlisted a list of players going into IPL auctions which are scheduled to be held on Monday.
The final list constitutes of 351 players which include 122 capped internationals. The final roster was pruned from the original list of 799 players after the eight franchises submitted their wishlists to the franchise.
The list includes six players from the associate nations, including five from Afghanistan: captain Asghar Stanikzai, Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, Rashid Khan and Dawlat Zadran. Shahzad and Rashid have the highest base prices among the five at Rs 50 lakh. UAE batsman ChiragSuri was the other associate player in the list.
Seven players have opted for the highest base price of Rs 2 Crore, which includes England cricketers Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes and Eoin Morgan, while seven more are placed in the Rs 1.5 crore bracket.
The existing player contracts will expire after this season of the league and most players are expected to go under the hammer at a mega auction ahead of the 2018 season.
The retention policy and the number of teams for the 2018 season - with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals set to return after a two-year ban - are among the decisions yet to be taken by the IPL governing council.
