The two-day Indian Premier mega auction which saw eight franchisees bid aggressively to shop for their T20 stars and build up squads for the next couple of seasons came to an end on Sunday. The auctions saw 578 players go under the hammer for 200 odd slots. 

While some of the big guns like Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc and Jos Butler racked up several crores, notable names like Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn and Joe Root went unsold.

Saurashtra Seamer Jaydev Undakat set the temperatures roaring after he became the most expensive Indian player in the IPL auction.

Unadkat was fetched for a whopping Rs 11 crore by Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile young turks KL Rahul and Manish Pandey attracted huge sums of money going for bids of over 10 crores.

It was heartening to see the Indian Under 19 stars like Shubmam Gill and Shivam Mavi pack a punch by getting picked up at lucrative
