After a disappointing end to ICC World Cup 2019, the men-in-blue are all set for a full-bilateral series against West Indies which is scheduled to start on August 3. The series will feature three T20s and as many ODI encounters. The limited-overs stint will be followed by two Test which eventually will conclude India's tour.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who was reportedly set to miss the series had made himself available after forgettable semi-final encounter against blackcaps. Interestingly before leaving for the West Indies tour, Virat Kohli is set to grace the Mumbai leg of Pro Kabbadi League (PKL) as U Mumba take on Puneri Paltan on July 27.
It is further reported that Virat Kohli will also sing the National Anthem before the start of play and eventually cheer with the spectators for the two teams. Virat Kohli will be present at Dome, NSCI in Mumbai cheering with the fans for the Maharashtra derby followed by Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Bengal Warriors.
Meanwhile, It is known that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited fresh application for the support staff and head coach. Soham Desai, who has been working with National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, is currently in West Indies assisting India A side. He is supposedly set to join the men's team in Florida and the Indian team will prepare for first of three T20 Internationals.
