Young Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is in sensational form and has emerged as a frontline bowler for his IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad. Apart from him, Mohammad Nabi is the other Afghan player picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both of them created history as they became the only two players to ever play in the IPL.
The Afghanistan government has applauded their stellar achievements and is set to make a documentary film on the duo's heroics. The documentary film is titled 'Afghan cricketers, The Rising Stars'.
It will unveil the growth of these two cricketers since the time when they both began to play cricket. Further, the film, spanning around 10 to 15 minutes, will present Rashid's story and his growth as a cricketer since his younger days.
18-year old Rashid Khan has impressed everyone with his variations such as the googly and flipper. He seems to be developing as a classic spinner and gives the ball enough loop and flight. The spin-friendly Indian pitches have assisted him in the IPL as he kept on bamboozling opposition batsmen with his skill.

Whereas Nabi hasn't received many chances in the IPL and is yet to make a mark in the tournament, Rashid has cemented his place as one of the vital cogs of his team.
Rashid used to idolise former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi and tried to follow his bowling action too. However, he credited Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan for the improvement in his bowling.
Muralitharan is the bowling coach of Hyderabad and Rashid said that technical changes brought by the former great has helped him to be lot more penetrative.
The Afghan star has claimed 8 wickets in 11 matches in IPL 2017 thus far and cricketing pundits predict a great future for the young lad. He was man-of-the-match against Kings XI Punjab after an excellent show with the ball where he gave only 16 runs to scalp one wicket in four overs.
