Mumbai Indians recorded their seventh victory defeating Gujarat Lions via Super Over in a nail-biting thriller in the Indian Premier League at Rajkot stadium on Saturday. Batting first Lions scored 153 for 9 and then got Mumbai Indians all out for 153 in 20 overs. In the One Over Eliminator, MI scored 11 and then Jasprit Bumrah bowled a brilliant over to restrict Lions to 6 runs only.
Earlier, Gujarat Lions were restricted to 153 for 9 with Ishan Kishan contributing 48 ffo 35 balls. Ravindra Jadeja (28), Andrew Tye (25) and James Faulkner (21) were the other contributors. Krunal Pandya (3/14 in 4 overs) was the pick of the bowlers while Lasith Malinga (2/33) and Harbhajan Singh (1/23) also bowled brilliantly.
