Kings XI Punjab played highly aggressive cricket as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets. Opener Hashim Amla and captain Glenn Maxwell helped Punjab cruise to an easy victory over Bangalore.
All the RCB bowlers were severely punished whenever they erred in line. Sixes and fours rained off the bats of Maxwell and Amla as they displayed supreme confidence.
Earlier Manan Vohra and Hashim Amla had given their team a strong start as RCB scored 148 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Kings XI Punjab bowlers had bowled brilliantly to restrict RCB's much vaunted batting line-up. Varun Aaron was the pick of the bowlers as he took two wickets for 21 runs off 4 overs. The other bowlers too chipped in hard and despite AB de Villiers brilliant innings, RCB was unable to break the shackles.
