India and Mumbai Indians speedster Jasprit Bumrah has mesmerised everyone with his toe crushers and slower delieveries in the 2017 edition of Indian Premier League. Bumrah has claimed 12 wickets from 10 games this season and has formed formidable pace bowling partnerships with Mitchell Mcclenaghan and Sri Lankan veteran Lasith Malinga.
He bowled a brilliant spell in Mumbai's last game against Gujarat Lions and defended 11 runs in the super over. His majestic death over bowling saw him conceding only 6 runs in the over as he helped his side cement a spot in the IPL playoffs.
While speaking with Mumbai Indians bowling coach and former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond Bumrah said that although its tough to bowl at the death it also helps one to contribute towards the team.

Shane Bond had supported Bumrah's inclusion in the Indian sq uad for the upcoming Champions Trophy a few days ago while praising his effectiveness in ODIs and T20s. He also claimed that Bumrah is capable of developing as a good Test bowler in the upcoming years.
Lasith Malinga, the senior MI counterpart has had a huge influence on the young Indian pacer and Bumrah said, “He’s (Malinga) been a great influence on me to bowl yorkers consistently because I used to bowl Yorkers before as well, but to bowl consistently you need practice. So, he helped me with that."

Whereas Malinga has been pretty lacklusture in this season, Bumrah has emerged as the bowling spearhead for Mumbai Indians. The young pacer claimed that Mumbai shouldn't be complacent after becoming the first team in the tournament to qualify for the playoffs. Rather, they need to be more serious at this point of time and move forward while giving equal importance to every game.
