Kolkata Knight Riders are set to clash with the mighty Mumbai Indians in their final league game on Saturday at Eden Gardens. The Knight Riders have suffered three defeats in a row after a successful run in the initial and middle stages of this edition of the IPL.
Principal owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will attend the game along with a galaxy of other B-town stars. King Khan cheering from the stands will be a huge morale booster for the Knights who require two more points to qualify for the IPL play-offs.
Venky Mysore, the KKR Chief Executive Officer, confirming Shah Rukh's presence said, "You are going to see him (SRK) on Saturday. He's coming with a big entourage. He's looking forward to it."
The last time SRK came to witness one of his team’s matches was KKR’s opening game against Gujarat Lions at Rajkot. KKR won the game by a massive 10 wicket margin and will once again hope that King Khan’s presence bring good luck for them.
Shah Rukh's presence in the Eden stands always increases the demand of VVIP passes with the city's elite wanting to be seen alongside Bollywood superstar.
