IPL season 10 has been full of action and cricket fanatics have witnessed humongous sixes, excellent batting chases, brilliant bowling efforts and much more. Fans were treated to an unexpected visual when Mumbai Indians seamer Lasith Malinga's doppelganger was spotted amongst the crowd in the game between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.Â
Cricketers and their lookalikes have always generated craze among the game's lovers. In the past, we have witnessed lookalikes of top cricketers like Virendra Sehwag and even the great Sachin Tendulkar.
On Saturday, as soon as Malinga came into the attack, cameras focused on his lookalike who held a banner claiming 'Malinga best friend'. Malinga who has bamboozled opposition batsmen through his amazing yorkers and block-hole deliveries, was brought into the attack only in the 15th over of Gujarat innings.Â

As soon as he came to bowl, the big screen showed a fan whose colour complexion, face and beard matched those of Malinga himself. He also wore a Mumbai Indians jersey apart from yellow coloured sunglasses. Malinga too couldn't help but smile as he saw his ardent fan and the on-air commentators too shared a laugh.
Lasith Malinga was playing only his fifth match for Mumbai Indians in this edition of the IPL and had also been dropped earlier. On his comeback, he claimed two wickets and helped Mumbai restrict Gujarat to a lowly 153 for the loss of nine wickets in Rajkot.
Mumbai Indians are currently second in the points table and are all but assured of making it to the eliminators in the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League.
