All-new season of cricketing festival is set to begin from April 7 and fans are super excited for the opening ceremony which will be organised at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
The opening ceremony of IPL 11 will witness Parineeta Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez who will set the stage on fire.
Three-time champion Mumbai Indians will be hosting the event and will face CSK in the opening match of the League.
Committee of Administrators(CoA) has reduced the budget of the opening ceremony from Rs 30 crore to Rs 20 crore and had also raised this issue with BCCI earlier asking as to why spend so much on entertainment when cricket is the main cause for the tournament.

However, IPL opening ceremony will be attended by the captain of only two teams, MS Dhoni(Chennai SuperKings) and Rohit Sharma(Mumbai Indians).
Captains of other teams which include Virat Kohli, Steven Smith, Gautam Gambhir, R Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik and David Warner will not attend the event owing to logistic reasons.
Teams like Chennai SuperKings and Rajasthan Royals are making a return to the Indian Premier League after two-year due to suspension on spot fixing grounds.
