Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap by becoming the leading run scorer in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Kohli surpassed fellow Indian Suresh Raina's tally of 4558 runs during his stellar innings against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
Kohli wasn't at his best at the start of the season but came to his own with two power-packed knocks against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.
While the Royal Challengers Bangalore have struggled this season with a string of losses, Kohli has been prolific, contributing handsomely with the bat.
The RCB captain who scored an unbeaten 92 for his side against Mumbai Indians was the sole contributor as they ended on the losing side while chasing down a mammoth 214-run target.
RCB may have lost once again after conceding more than 200 runs for the second consecutive game, but Kohli’s knock ensured the Red Brigade's skipper is the highest scorer in the ongoing season.
Kohli's stellar form has seen the righthander amass a total of 201 runs in four innings at an average of 67 and a strike rate of 143.
