The final list constitutes of 351 players which include 122 capped internationals. The final roster was pruned from the original list of 799 players after the eight franchises submitted their wish lists to the IPL players.
The list includes six players from the Associates, including five from Afghanistan: captain Asghar Stanikzai, Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, Rashid Khan and Dawlat Zadran. Shahzad and Rashid have the highest base prices among the five at INR 50 lakh. UAE batsman Chirag Suri was the other Associate player in the list.

The existing player contracts will expire after this season of the league and most players are expected to go under the hammer at a mega auction ahead of the 2018 season.
The retention policy and the number of teams for the 2018 season - with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals set to return after a two-year ban - are among the decisions yet to be taken by the IPL governing council.
