Irfan Pathan is enjoying life outside the cricket field. The left-arm all-rounder, who is the player cum mentor of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team, recently posted a photo with his wife Safa Baig on his Instagram handle and the couple can be seen enjoying in a luxurious place. With snow-capped mountains and a magnificent scenery, Irfan wrote, "World is so much better with you #wifey #love." However, Irfan has been trolled for this photo and the reason is unbelievable.

Many trolls have criticised Irfan for making his wife wear the Hijab while some trolls have stooped to lower levels and have criticised Irfan for not showing Safa's face in the photo.

Recently, Irfan was active on social media during the Kashmir unrest which preceded the removal of Article 370 and Article 35A. The situation in Kashmir deteriorated amid the intelligence inputs of terrorist attack threats in Jammu and Kashmir, authorities on Friday issued an advisory asking tourists and Amarnath Yatris to "immediately" curtail their stay in the Valley and return "as soon as possible". The government's advisory has come hours after the Indian Army revealed that they have “confirmed intelligence inputs” that terrorists backed by the Pakistan Army are trying to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra.

Irfan, who was asked to leave the valley at the earliest, lashed out at certain people who dragged religion at a volatile time in Kashmir.
"The fact that #AmarnathYatris have been asked to go back and stopped the #Yatra means it is under threat. That's why security measures are taken. Apni gandi soch Badlo. Har baat mein religion mat daalo. Har baat mein saboot mat maango," Irfan tweeted. Earlier, Irfan had written on his Twitter handle, "Both, my mind & heart are still back in Kashmir with Indian army & Indian Kashmiri brothers and sisters... #Kashmir #KashmirUnderThreat."

Pathan and over 100 other cricketers, including support staff of the Jammu and Kashmir cricket team, were asked to leave the Valley at the earliest following government’s security advisory.

According to a report published in The New Indian Express, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has asked Pathan, who is associated with the team as a player and mentor, coach Milap Mewada and trainer Sudarshan VP to leave the state.  "Yes, the JKCA has advised Pathan and other support staff to leave J&K. They will fly out of the Valley on Sunday. Selectors, who are not from the region, have also been asked to leave for their respective places,” JKCA chief executive officer (CEO) Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari was quoted as saying by the English daily.
