England’s premium fast bowler James Anderson has now touched new heights in Test cricket. The right handed fast bowler has surpassed Indian great Kapil Dev to become the sixth highest wicket-keeper in Tests, when he claimed fifer against Sri Lanka on Day 2.
The pacer weaved magic with the red ball to bundle out Sri Lanka at Headingley on Friday for platy 91. Anderson found Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews plump in front of the wicket at 34, to surpass Kapil Dev.
Kapil Dev took 227 innings to get 434 wickets while the England pacer got there in his 213th innings. Anderson now has 438 Test wickets from 114 matches at an average of 29.18. He had always made the red ball talk in any conditions for his team.
Anderson not only the highest wicket taker for England but now has enforced his name within the big boys of cricket.
