KL Rahul sets the record of scoring the fastest century by an Indian batsman in Twenty20 international. He achieved this feat against West Indies on Saturday in a nail-biting contest which India lost when captain cool M S Dhoni failed to score two runs of the last ball of the match.
Rahul who came to bat at No. 4, completed his maiden T20 century in just 46 balls to claim the record. He remained unbeaten on 110 from 51 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 12 fours.
KL Rahul is among the most highly rated opening batsmen in India's next generation. Rahul was a part of India's squad in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup and made his first-class debut later that year.
