Match Summary:
Bangladesh team were always staring at defeat on the last day of the one-off match. The Indian bowlers were equal to the task in making inroads into the Bangladesh batting order all through Day 5.
Ishant Sharma bowled an inspiring spell of seam bowling to pick up Sabbir Rahman and Mahmudullah. Ravichandran Ashwin then weaved his magic to dent the Bangladesh team by scalping the priced wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim. Jadeja then played the support cast to perfection by striking in quick succession to dismiss Mehedi Hasan and Taijul Islam. R Ashwin dealt the final blow by removing Taskin Ahmed and help India win the match by 208 runs. India thereby continued its winning spell in the longer format by winning its sixth consecutive Test series win. Indian captain Virat Kohli was declared the Man of the Match award for his stellar double century. Meanwhile R Ashwin became the quickest bowler to scalp 250 Test wickets.
