India scored a brilliant series victory by clean sweeping New Zealand 3-0 in the recently concluded test series. Ravichandran Ashwin played a heroic role in the third test match and the whole series.
He was well supported by Ravindra Jadeja and seamers Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav.India dominated the test series from the first day itself and outplayed the Kiwis in all departments. Virat Kohli scored a double century in the third test match and led the team perfectly throughout the series.
Apart from him, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and Wriddhiman Saha handled the batting front.Gautam Gambhir made a brilliant comeback in the third test and hit a half century in the second innings. Overall, Indian team displayed tremendous professionalism throughout the series.
Resuming the day at 18 for no loss, India declared their second innings at 216 for 3 after Cheteshwar Pujara (101) scored a century.
