When one talks about Test pitches in India during the early 90s, the template would be set in this way. The pacers would bowl just a couple of overs to take the shine off the new ball and the spinners would do the bulk of the work. In 2019, in Virat Kohli's time, this does not hold true. In India's 13 series dominance at home since 2012, the pacers have laid the template for taking the bulk of the wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have continuously probed away. In Indore, the dominance of the pacers was exhibited in grand style and Bangladesh felt the wrath of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma as they were razed out for 150 on the opening day of the Indore Test against India at the Holkar stadium on Thursday.

11:34 hrs IST: Agarwal nears a century and that is lunch on day 2. India are leading by 38 runs and they will be aiming to take a big lead by the end of the day's play.
11:13 hrs IST: Agarwal is given out by umpire Marais Erasmus as he misses a sweep. He reviews and replays show that there was no bat involved. The only thing that could have saved him was the ball not hitting the stumps and luckily, Hawkeye confirms that the ball was missing leg stump. Agarwal heaves a big sigh of relief and India are 176/3, leading by 24 runs.
10:50 hrs IST: Agarwal jumps down the track and lofts Mehidy Hasan effortlessly to the long off fence for a boundary. India have now taken the lead against Bangladesh. India are 152/3, lead by two runs.
