India secured an innings and 137-run win against South Africa to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

South Africa were asked to follow on in the Pune Test and they started disastrously when Aiden Markram was dismissed for a pair. The woes continued for South Africa as the top order failed to cope with Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav. Keshav Maharaj and Vernon Philander once again frustrated India with a solid stand but once Philander fell, the lower order fell cheaply and India have secured a win by an innings and 137 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Virat Kohli's Indian side  continue their domination in the ICC World Test Championships.

14:56 hrs IST: WICKET! Umesh gets two. Full ball angled in outside off, Kagiso Rabada is unsure whether to play at it, he hangs his bat out and the edge flies to slip. South Africa are 189/9, trailing by 137 runs.

13:19 hrs IST: WICKET! Brilliant from Shami! Sharp bouncer slanted in from round the wicket, Muthusamy hopes and looks to get it down to the off side, the edge flies to Rohit at second slip who takes the catch. South Africa are 129/7, still trailing by 197 runs.

13:08 hrs IST: WICKET! Brilliant catch from Rahane. The catching has been brilliant. Jadeja gives the delivery more flight and it spins away outside off, Bavuma is lured into the drive and Ajinkya Rahane at slip takes a wonderful one-handed catch to his left. South Africa 125/6, still trailing by 201 runs.

13:00 hrs IST: Bavuma and Muthusamy have gotten their eye in. They are finding the boundaries regularly and South Africa are 125/5, still trailing by 201 runs.

Ashwin comes round the wicket and floats this flighted delivery outside off, it spins away as Elgar miscues the lofted shot to long on, Umesh Yadav runs to his right and juggles twice before taking the catch. South Africa are 71/4, trailing by 255 runs.

11:18 hrs IST: WICKET! What a juggling effort by Saha. Ashwin gets Du Plessis again. Quicker ball on off stump, du Plessis looks to defend and Saha takes the edge, but he juggles a couple of times and dives forward to take the catch. Another splendid catch and South Africa are 70/3, trailing by 256 runs.

11:02 hrs IST: Loud appeal for an LBW and India review. Du Plessis misses the sweep and gets hit on the pad. However, the impact is outside off and India do not lose the review. South Africa 60/2, trail by 266 runs.

10:30 hrs IST: Three fours by Elgar in Mohammed Shami's over. Virat Kohli resorts to spin and Ravichandran Ashwin is into the attack. South Africa 49/2, trailing by 277 runs.

10:01 hrs IST: WICKET! Brilliant catch from Saha and South Africa continue to flounder. Umesh bowls a full ball but it is swinging down leg side, Theunis de Bruyn attempts to help it along the boundary. However, Wriddhiman Saha has other ideas as he dives to his left and takes a one-handed screamer. South Africa 21/2, trailing by 305 runs.

09:56 hrs IST: Umesh Yadav and Ishant are swinging the ball but Elgar and Thenuis de Bruyn are finding some streaky boundaries to the third man fence. South Africa are 21/1, trailing by 305 runs.

09:36 hrs IST: Replays in on Markram dismissal! The ball was missing leg stump. Oh Dean Elgar! He looks away in disappointment. Everything that can go wrong for South Africa is going wrong. South Africa 0/1.

09:33 hrs IST: WICKET! Oh my! Disaster for South Africa. Markram gone for a silver pair. Ishant Sharma gets this delivery to curve back in sharply on middle and leg stump line. Markram plays down the wrong line and is trapped in front. South Africa 0/1, still trailing by 326 runs after follow-on.
