India fell short by one run in their attempt to pull off highest ever Twenty20 International run chase, lose first T20 game against West Indies. West Indies beat India by one run in the first of the two Twenty20 International here.
They are all happy and why wouldn't they be. Bravo pulled off the biggest heist in T20s this year. Coming to the ball: As expected it was a slower delivery outside off, Dhoni goes for the push rather tamely, he was looking to place it wide of cover, the ball took the outside edge and ballooned to short third man, where Samuels doesn't miss out this time. Spare a thought for Rahul, who played a brilliant knock only to end up on the losing side.
Earlier KL Rahul scored a brilliant hundred to help India recover from early blocks. At one point, it seemed India would win the match as Dhoni and Rahul looked well settled, hammering the Windies bowlers for six and four.
West Indies posted a mammoth 245-6 against India in the first of the two Twenty20 Internationals here. India skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav and Amit Mishra were the ones not part of the Indian Playing XI for the 1st T20. Chris Gayle missed out for West Indies because of an injury while Jason Holder also wasn't part of the XI.
