New Delhi:

Virat Kohli created history at the ADA-VDCA stadium as he broke Sachin Tendulkar's record to become the fastest batsman to smash 10,000 runs in ODIs. While Tendulkar achieved the feat in 259 innings, the current Indian skipper has achieved the landmark in just 205 innings. Things got better for Kohli as he notched up his 37th century and helped India cross 300 against West Indies. The records continued to be broken for Kohli as he smashed his fourth score of 150+ in ODIs as India finished on 321/6. In response, Shai Hope's magnificent 123* and Shimron Hetmyer's brilliant 94 ensured that West Indies tied the match. India lead the series 1-0 but this match will be remembered for the thriller. Relive all the action here. (SCORECARD)

That brings us to an end to what has been a fantastic match. Join us on 27th for the game in Pune. See you

IT IS A TIE! IT IS A TIE! What a match. Shai Hope carves a wide ball to the deep backward point fence and the fielder cannot stop it. What a match. What a thriller. India lead the series 1-0 but this match will be remembered brilliantly.

Two runs off the fifth ball and West Indies need 5 off 1 ball. Six will win it and four will tie the game.

WICKET! Ashley Nurse gets the top edge to third man, attempted a scoop but the catch is taken. West Indies need 7 off 2.

FOUR! Nurse gets a lucky boundary to the third man fence and West Indies need 9 off 4 balls. India need to maintain the pressure.

Another brilliant over from Shami and West Indies need 14 off the last over, which will be bowled by Umesh Yadav. Can West Indies still get over the line or will Umesh kill the game off?

Just two runs in the 47th over. Brilliant stuff from Chahal. Now, all hopes on Shami and Umesh to ensure India sneak in a win. Superb fight from the West Indies but Hope will be hoping that he does not throw away the win.

Panic stations alert! Chahal bowls a flatter ball and Hope taps it to backward point, Holder thinks about a single but is sent back. The throw is good at the non-striker's end and the captain is short of the crease. India still have hope, not the West Indies batsman but confidence

After three good balls by Umesh Yadav, he strays onto the pads and Hope flicks it to the fine leg fence to get the equation down even further. West Indies on track for a famous win.

Slight halt in play here as Shai Hope gets some treatment on his hand, mostly for cramps. It is very hot and humid in Vizag at the moment. Will West Indies have a Herschelle Gibbs moment? One definitely hopes not.

Shai Hope! Take a bow. What a knock. His second ODI century and it has come at a time when West Indies needed it the most. Hope's knock has put a dampener on what should have ideally been Virat Kohli's day.

Shai Hope comes closer to a century. This will be a fabulous knock if he can get West Indies over the line here.

Kuldeep Yadav finishes his spell: 10-0-67-3. Shai Hope hits a six to get into the 90s. West Indies need 45 off 36 balls. One must say: Slight advantage West Indies but India can come back in the contest with quick wickets.

An update on Rishabh Pant's injury: Nothing serious. He just has some lacerations in his fingers and on his left shoulder but he will be totally fine. A brilliant over from Shami has come to an end. Just two runs off the 43rd over.

The asking rate has mounted and is touching close to eight. Some tight overs from India can really put the pressure on the West Indies but Shai Hope and Jason Holder are key for the visitors. Still anyone's game?

Just one run in Kuldeep Yadav's ninth over. The asking rate has gone up to over six. In the last 10 overs, West Indies need 63. Can India get more wickets to build the pressure or will Shai Hope give the Windies something to cheer?

OUT! This is interesting. Kuldeep gets his third wicket as Rovman Powell edges a quick legbreak straight to Rohit Sharma at slip. The situation is now very tense for both sides. Rovman Powell c Rohit Sharma b Kuldeep Yadav 18 (18).

OUT! This is interesting. Kuldeep gets his third wicket as Rovman Powell edges a quick legbreak straight to Rohit Sharma at slip. The situation is now very tense for both sides. Rovman Powell c Rohit Sharma b Kuldeep Yadav 18 (18).

Rovman Powell hits another big six down the ground off Chahal but Rishabh pant, in trying to take the catch, hurts his shoulder on the boundary boards and has gone off the field. Can India get some moment of inspiration here?

An expensive over from Umesh Yadav, 13 runs in the 35th over, tilts the advantage back to West Indies as they need 83 off 90 balls.

The match is interestingly poised at this moment. West Indies need 96 off 96 balls. Six wickets in hand but they have some big hitters in the shed in the form of Jason Holder.

The real Test of West Indies' mettle will be this point. Can they carry on from the good work done by Hetmyer and Hope? West Indies still need less than a run-a-ball but wickets is the key

Oh dear! Oh dear! What has Hetmyer done? Short ball from Chahal and the batsman looked to pull it to deep mid wicket, but he ends up top-edging it and Virat Kohli takes the catch at backward point. The batsman is distraught and he trudges off a disappointed man but he can be proud of his knock

Hetmyer continues to pound the Indian bowling to all parts of the ground. The partnership is nearing 150 and Hetmyer is in the 90s. Can he hit back-to-back centuries?

Shai Hope guides a back of a length delivery close to the off stump to deep backward point and brings up his seventh fifty. It has been a wonderful effort and the Windies need these two to carry on.

Shai Hope has been given OUT LBW but he immediately reviews. Big inside edge on that and the decision has been overturned. West Indies still have some 'hope'in this chase.

4,6,6. Shimron Hetmyer is on the rampage against India. The required rate has dropped below six for the first time for the West Indies. At this rate, Kohli's knock could be upstaged in grand style.

This is sublime stuff from the West Indies. At the half-way stage, one must say it is advantage West Indies. Can Hope and Hetmyer give West Indies something to cheer? After 25 overs, the Windies are 162/3, needing 160 off 150 balls.

Shimron Hetmyer slams his fifth six and brings up his second fifty in ODIs. He blasted a century in Guwahati. Can he do the same and bring West Indies some glory on a tour that has proven to be a disaster so far?

Hetmyer continues to deal in sixes as he mows a slog sweep well into the stands at deep mid wicket. The 94-meter six has given West Indies momentum and the youngster is nearing his second fifty

The partnership between Hope and Hetmyer has ensured the West Indies are in touch with the run-rate but a few quick wickets could tilt the advantage back to India.

A couple of good overs from Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja and the asking rate is mounting. After 20 overs, West Indies are 125/3, needing 197 more off 180 balls. Still gettable but wickets are the key.

Hetmyer and Hope continue to give West Indies some hope. The partnership is nearing fift yand with dew expected to be a factor, they have their task cut out.

West Indies have gone past 100 in the 16th over, with both Hetmyer and Shai Hope looking in great touch. Although the West Indies are maintaining the required rate, the key for them will be wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav to Shimron Hetmyer. In the Test series, the West Indies youngster was all over the place while facing him. Will he have a similar problem in countering him in the ODIs?

WICKET! Kuldeep might be leaking runs, but he takes wickets. Flighted ball and it breaks away on off stump, Samuels plays down the wrong line and gets bowled. The third umpire takes a look whether Dhoni broke the stumps but replays show that the ball hit the stumps. West Indies 78/3 in 12 overs, Marlon Samuels b Kuldeep Yadav 13 (10).

Samuels gets going with two consecutive boundaries off Kuldeep Yadav. West Indies' best player of spin needs to step up now.

WICKET! Kuldeep Yadav strikes in his first over. Although West Indies have maintained a healthy run-rate, tackling spinners would be the key. Flighted googly that turns back in, Hemraj is bowled through the gate. Chandrapaul Hemraj b Kuldeep Yadav 32 (24), West Indies 64/2 in 9.3 overs

Umesh Yadav continues to leak runs as he concedes three boundaries in his fourth over. Already, he has conceded 34 runs and West Indies have crossed fifty in just the eighth over.

WICKET! Poor shot from Kieran Powell. Shami bowls it on a good length and on leg stump, Powell flicks it to Rishabh Pant at deep mid wicket who takes the catch. The batsman shakes his head as he walks off while Pant chuckles as to how simple it was.

Kieran Powell and Chandrapaul Hemraj are breaking the shackles with a couple of boundaries. West Indies are slowly starting to pick up the pace but it will be interesting to see how they tackle the three spinners.

Welcome back for the West Indies run-chase. They made 322 in Guwahati and they will have to do it again in Vizag. But, this Indian bowling attack, with the inclusion of the two wrist-spinners might make their prospects a bit more difficult. After two overs, West Indies are 7/0

To think, Virat Kohli took just 11 innings to go from 9000 to 10,000. What a stunning effort. We can go gaga over Kohli's feat for ages to come.

Virat Kohli blasts his fourth 150+ score. Is there anything that this superman cannot do? Thanks to this effort, India have ended on 321/6. West Indies look utterly deflated.

WICKET! Ravindra Jadeja falls as he mistimes a lofted shot off a slower ball to be caught at long on. Obed McCoy gets his second wicket but King Kohli is motoring towards 150.

18 runs in Kemar Roach's over. Virat Kohli is batting like he is from a different planet. In two overs, he has hit three sixes and is motoring towards a 150. West Indies look absolutely deflated. India have crossed 300

Virat Kohli launches Obed McCoy into the stands at long on for his first six. Hold on folks, yet another record for Kohli. He reaches 1000 runs in 2018 in ODIs. What is his average, a stunning 142. Divine batting.

CENTURY! October 24th should be officially be rechristened Virat Kohli record day. Gets to his 37th century with a blazing drive off Marlon Samuels. After getting to the landmark, he pointed to his bat and said that the bat does the talking. We are all privileged to have witnessed this historic moment. Very lucky, this generation.

OUT! Rishabh Pant misses a short, quick ball from Marlon Samuels and gets hit on the back pad, Kohli urges Pant to take the review but the ball is hitting middle stump. That was a poor review. Kohli might be legendary in a lot of things, but when it comes to reviews, he is a mere mortal.

Kohli's record-breaking day could get even better as he nears a century. Rishabh Pant is slowly settling in. After 42 overs, India are 230/4 and they will be eyeing a score in excess of 300.

GONE! Obed McCoy might have not gotten Virat Kohli''s wicket but he gets the massive wicket of MS Dhoni, bowled for 20. Proud moment for this lad but Virat Kohli is nearing yet another century

Virat Kohli! Adjectives to describe his brilliance are not enough. With a tap to mid on, Kohli breaks Sachin Tendulkar's record to become the fastest batsman to reach 10,000 runs. At the other end, Dhoni breaks the shackles with a big six as India stay on course to go past 300. What a moment. This is legendary from Kohli

MS Dhoni has entered the stage and he has a point to prove to his doubters. Can he answer them in his typical swag? But, all eyes are on Virat Kohli and he is just six runs away from becoming the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs.

OUT! Ashley Nurse has finally broken the 139-run stand. Flighted delivery and it spins back in, Rayudu attempts the slog sweep but misses it and is bowled. He cannot believe it and he walks back slowly. Ends a good knock but he looked good for a ton.

DROPPED AGAIN | Rayudu clears the front leg and looks to slam a full ball from Kemar Roach over wide mid-off, but Obed McCoy dives to his left but lands heavily on his shoulder. The physio attends to him but he seems to be alright.

Brilliant stuff from Virat Kohli as he whips a full ball outside off stump to the wide long on fence. Boy, those wrists are sublime and he is just 19 runs away from history.

Rayudu has outscored Kohli and is taking on the role of the aggressor. He is treating Jason Holder with disdain, slamming him for two fours in two overs. If this partnership continues, India could cross 300 with ease.

FIFTY for Rayudu | Now, the local lad joins in the fun. This is his ninth fifty and this knock might put to rest some of the doubts regarding India's middle order muddle. Great stuff and now West Indies are under the pump

Sublime Kohli! What consistency. Simply remarkable. He scores his 49th fifty and is now just 31 runs away from creating yet more history. Take a bow, skipper. India are 124/2 after 25 overs.

RECORD ALERT 2 | Virat Kohli now has the most runs in ODIs against West Indies, going past Sachin Tendulkar's mark of 1573 runs. Many more to come.

DROPPED | This could be very costly for the West Indies. The back-of-the-hand legcutter from McCoy, Kohli miscues the lofted shot to long off but Jason Holder running back cannot hold on to the catch and he drops it. Oh boy! This was Obed McCoy's moment to be the Real McCoy.

Virat Kohli is nearing a fifty while Ambati Rayudu grows in confidence with a pull shot off a short ball from Obed McCoy to the long leg fence. Things are getting out of hand for the West Indies.

With back-to-back fours, Virat Kohli has not only helped the partnership go past 50 but he also reaches 4000 ODI runs in India. This is the start of the record trail which he might scale in the coming hours.

Drinks time in Vizag. Rayudu and Kohli's stand is nearing fifty. If West Indies don't get a wicket soon, they could be staring at another big total.

If Ambati Rayudu gets a big score today, then India's middle-order conunudrum could be sorted out ahead of important series against Australia, New Zealand and eventually the World Cup.

Ambati Rayudu is looking in great touch at the moment and is scoring freely. Kohli, at the other end, has dropped anchor and is looking to bat thrugh. After 14 overs, India are 69/2.

Ashley Nurse has kept things tight while Devendra Bishoo is getting some turn. A total in excess of 270 will be very challenging to chase in the second innings.

Kohli is once again getting into the groove. Every run scored is getting massive cheers. The crowd at the ADA-VDCA stadium know the milestone that beckons the Indian cricket team skipper.

OUT | West Indies opt for a review against Shikhar Dhawan for an LBW. Nurse gets this delivery to drift in and straighten, Dhawan plays down the wrong line and gets hit on the front pad. Umpire Ian Gould says not out but on review, there is no bat involved and the ball is hitting leg stump. Big wicket. Shikhar Dhawan LBW Nurse 29 (30).

This pitch is already keeping a bit slow and low. Ashley Nurse has been introduced in the seventh over and is getting some turn. Maybe, this might not be a 300+ wicket.

Shikhar Dhawan is looking in great touch, gets two boundaries off Jason Holder, one an edge to third man and the other a slashing cut through backward point. After five overs, India are 29/1

Virat Kohli gets off the mark with a boundary but so far, the West Indies bowlers have bowled with some discipline unlike in Guwahati, where they withered under the onslaught.

OUT! No heroics from Rohit Sharma today as he cuts a short and wide ball from Kemar Roach straight to point. Rohit Sharma c Hetmyer b Roach 4 (8).

Steady start for India. Rohit Sharma gets off the mark with a leg glance to the fine leg boundary off Jason Holder. Shikhar Dhawan carefull plays out Kemar Roach. After two overs, India are 5/0

Here is WOW stat to start the match. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have five 200+ partnerships in ODIs. The remarkable thing - they have achieved it in just 64 innings.

Here are the playing XIs of both sides

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w), Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal

West Indies (Playing XI): Kieran Powell, Chandrapaul Hemraj, Shai Hope(w), Marlon Samuels, Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder(c), Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Kemar Roach, Obed McCoy

India have opted to bat in the Vizag ODI against West Indies. Kuldeep Yadav replaces Khaleel Ahmed in the side while West Indies have also made one change in the side, with Obed McCoy replacing Oshane Thomas

The ADA-VDCA stadium can also become a memorable venue for Virat Kohli as he needs just 81 runs to become the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs. Sachin Tendulkar holds the record when he achieved the landmark in 259 innings. Kohli can do it in just his 205th innings. What a freak!

Hello and welcome to the second ODI at the ADA-VDCA stadium in Vizag. This ground has happy memories for MS Dhoni, for it was here in 2005 that he announced himself on the world stage with a dazzling knock of 148 against Pakistan.
