Moeen Ali trolled on Twitter, told 'Drawing not allowed in Islam'

England cricketer Moeen Ali was trolled after he asked his Twitter followers to bid for his drawing for a charity. 

Just as Moeen tweeted his drawing of Sir Viv Richards for the purpose of raising money for charity, some of his followers criticised him for apparently defying the traditions of Islam.

Ali's portrait of Sir Viv Richards was to be auctioned by Cricket United, a cricket charity awareness campaign that raises money for the Professional Cricketers' Association. 

Moeen had tweeted "Please do support @CricketUnited and bid on my drawing of Sir Viv to support @PCA @Chance2Shine @LordsTaverners," this resulted in heated exchanges between his followers.

Replying to Ali's tweet, Mohammad Umair said "Bro painting is not allowed in Islam. U can try something else to raise funds. Ur intentions r clean but avoid haraam ways 4 noble causes" 

Earlier on July 18, Indian all-rounder and left arm seamer Irfan Pathan was criticised by various people on Facebook and Instagram after he posted his picture along with that of his wife Safa Baig. However, a lot of fans criticised the cricketer as his wife was wearing nail polish and had kept her hands exposed.vPathan is the latest Indian cricketer to land in trouble for posting a photograph with his wife which has been tagged 'unislamic'.
