India shall be without the services of pace spearhead Mohammed Shami and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha in the fifth and final Test against England, starting on December 16.

The medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Sunday (December 11), that Indian pacer Mohammed Shami and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will be out of fifth Test against England, starting on December 16.

Shami has soreness in his right knee and has been advised rest and rehabilitation. He will be going to the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru to start his recovery programme. 

Saha who suffered a hamstring tendon injury in the second Test of the ongoing series against England at Vizag, is undergoing rehabilitation programme at the NCA.
