Not happy with Sehwag's tweet, blind cricket team captain Ajay Reddy says We wear the same blue jersey, represent the same tri-colour

Blind cricket team captain Ajay Reddy expresses his displeasure on Virendra Sehwag’s tweet in an interview with one of the national daily. India defeated Pakistan by nine wickets to defend their T20 Blind Cricket World Cup title on Sunday. The team chased 198, and claimed the coveted the title status, while many-thonged to congratulate the winning team, it was Virendra Sehwag’s message that drew flaks.

“We wear the same blue jersey, represent the same tri-colour and play with equal pride and passion then why term us as ‘other’? It is appreciable that he congratulated us but then we are no others. We too are the men in blue,” said Ajay while speaking to a national daily .

The blind team has won two World T20s, something Team India has not been able to achieve.

Of course Sehwag was not the only one who used this reference as the hashtag #othermeninblue  was trending big time on social media.
