Indian spin maestro Ravichandran Ashwin became the fastest bowler in Test cricket to scalp 250 wickets.
The ace off-spinner got to the milestone in just his 45th Test match. He achieved the career milestone when he scalped Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rehman for on Day 2 of the India-Bangladesh Test match at Hyderabad. Ashwin broke the record set by Australian pace ace Denis Lille, who took 48 Tests to get to 250 wickets. Ashwin has been the lethal weapon in India’s bowling armour.
He has consistently produced match winning performances with the red cherry over the last five years. He has been simply been phenomenal in Test matches at home. Ashwin had a stellar 2016 season with the ball and was instrumental in making team India the No.1 Test team.
Ashwin bagged the 2016 ICC Cricketer and ICC Test Player of the year Award after bagging a plethora of wickets in the 2016 season.
