Indian opener and Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma, during the ongoing fifth ODI match against West Indies at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, touched a new milestone in his splendid One Day International (ODI) career by joining an elite club of players who has smashed 200 ODI sixes in their illustrious cricketing career.
Rohit smashed Windies skipper Jason Holder over the mid-wicket region in the second ball of the 11th over to join the list of players which includes the likes of Shahid Afridi, Chris Gayle, MS Dhoni to name a few.
The ‘Hitman’ also completed his 37th half-century in ODI cricket in the ongoing series decider, which the Men in Blue are on the brink of winning it completely.

The Maharasthra-born swashbuckling batsman was at 198 sixes before the fifth ODI and his tally now stands exactly at 201 after smashing six No. 201 to Keemo Paul in the fifth ball of the 12th over.
Among the Indians, only MS Dhoni is ahead of Rohit Sharma with 211 sixes.
India are chasing a target of 105 after the bowlers wreaked havoc with Ravindra Jadeja being the pick of them with the figures of 4 for 34 in 9.5 overs.
