Rohit Sharma blasted his 22nd ODI century in the Sydney game against Australia but following the match, the Mumbai dasher attempted a new dance form.

Rohit Sharma had a magnificent time in the Sydney ODI against Australia. He blasted his 22nd century and his seventh against Australia. It was also his fifth in Australia, putting him level with Kumar Sangakkara for most centuries by overseas batsmen. The Mumbai dasher, nicknamed the ‘Hitman’ also displayed his magnificent six-hitting ability, blasting six sixes against the Australian attack and taking his tally to 64 sixes against them, creating a new world record. Rohit broke the record for most sixes against a single opposition, going past Shahid Afridi’s knock of 63 sixes against Sri Lanka. He also hit the most sixes in Australia with 27, going past Afridi again.

Having made the Australian bowlers dance to his aggressive tune, it was Rohit’s turn to attempt a dance move. In a video which was uploaded by the BCCI, Rohit is seen attempting the Floss Dance at a local café before heading to the second ODI which will be played in Adelaide. The floss or flossing is a dance move in which a person repeatedly swings their arms, with clenched fists, from the back of their body to the front, on each side. Rohit put on a good show as he struggled to match moves with a youngster who was an expert.

Sydney witnessed fun times for Rohit. In another video which has gotten great traction on BCCI’s Twitter handle, Rohit is seen with legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal and in that, he is seen appealing to fans to subscribe to ‘Chahal TV’. In a hilarious promotion, Rohit says that ‘Chahal TV’ will travel to Adelaide where he will greet new players. In the end, Chahal himself says to subscribe to his channel and press the bell icon. Rohit brushes him off by saying, “There is no bell icon.”

India lost the first ODI by 34 runs and they must win the second game in Adelaide beginning on January 15 if they have to stay in the contest. This series, along with the five-match ODI series in New Zealand and the last home series against Australia in March are the final games the Indian cricket team will play before the Indian Premier League and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup which will be held in England.
