Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of former India cricket team skipper MS Dhoni, took to Twitter to highlight the power crisis in Ranchi. In that, she wrote, "People in Ranchi experience power cuts every single day. It ranges from four to seven hours daily. There has been no electricity for the past five hours today and that is 19th September. There is no reason for power cut today as the weather is good and there is no festival. I hope the problem is addressed by the concerned authorities."
However, in response, Twitter users starting trolling her mercilessly. Some urged her to read the newspaper regularly while others trolled MS Dhoni for featuring in an ad for inverters and batteries. Some said Sakshi's stance on this issue is hypocritical as he house has generators which provide her with 24 hours of electricity. Some others said that she was lying as many areas faced only two to three hours of cuts. One user shared a screenshot of the Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das who had promised in 2017 that Jharkhand would have 24*7 power supply.

MSK Prasad, the chief selector, also dismissed news reports that MS Dhoni was retiring from the game in the near future. Speaking after announcing the squad for the three Test series against South Africa, Prasad said he was not updated about Dhoni's retirement. "No update on MS Dhoni's retirement, the news is incorrect," Prasad said. There were rumours circulating on social media that Dhoni was soon announcing his retirement after Virat Kohli shared a photo of them helping India to victory against Australia in the 2016 World T20 clash in Mohali. While Kohli had tweeted respect for Dhoni for making him run like a fitness Test in his superb 82, social media users once again raised a false alarm and said Dhoni was retiring soon.
Thanks for behaving like a normal human being and not like super humans who can afford generator 24*7..... Thank you

"This selection committee is clear on one front. They will never ask any questions to Dhoni with regards to retirement as that's not their domain. But till they are in charge, they reserve the right to select the squad and as far as they are concerned, Rishabh Pant is now India's first-choice keeper across formats," a senior BCCI official told PTI.
