SC accepts major proposals of Lodha panel; No ministers, one state one policy

The Supreme Court today accepted all the recommendations of Justice R M Lodha on massive structural reforms in Board of Control for Cricket in India. A bench of Chief Justice T S Thakur and Justice F M I Kalifulla had reserved its verdict on June 30 after a marathon session of over a dozen hearings.

Following are the recommendations accepted by the Supreme Court:

 SC accepts massive Lodha commission recommendations.

 Recommendation on having No minister in BCCI and age cap of 70 accepted.

 SC also accept Lodha panel's recommendation to be a member of CAG within BCCI Governing council.

Lodha panel to oversee transition from the old to new regime within 6 months

States like Maharashtra and Gujarat having more than one cricket association will have voting rights on rotational basis
