Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi recently proved that he is not only a star on the field but off the field as well. 'Boom Boom' Afridi showed true sportsmanship after a match when he asked an Indian fan to keep the Indian flag open while clicking a photograph.
The dashing cricketer led his team Royals XI to victory against Virendra Sehwag's Diamonds XI in the inaugural St. Moritz Ice Cricket tournament. Following the exciting game, the batsman who is known for his hard-hitting style obliged to fans requests for photos and autographs.
Among the fans, there was an Indian woman who was carrying the tricolour and wanted a photograph with the star player. Afridi noticed the flag in her hand and requested her to hold it while clicking the snap.

The sweet gesture of the former Pakistani captain was enough to win the hearts of fans from all across the world. Fans have appreciated Afridi for not showing any kind of bias and for respecting the Indian flag.

The maverick all-rounder seemed to be impressed with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Afridi told PTI that his cordial relation with the right-hand batsman can't be defined by political situation.
The 37-year-old who retired from international cricket in February 2017 told PTI that he loves Virat Kohli's aggression and believes that by supporting the juniors in crisis situations, the Delhi lad has earned respect from the youngsters.
''He (Kohli) is a doing brilliant job and I have no problem with his aggression if it is under control. Virat's character is different from former Indian skipper MS Dhoni who was a calm and composed individual'', Afridi told PTI.
Shahid Afridi who enjoys a significant fan following in India lauded Virat Kohli by saying that his greatest asset is that he can take the team along.Â
Afridi also mentioned that Virat Kohli has always shown respect and even signed a jersey for his foundation which aims to provide clean drinking water to the weaker sections of the society.
