Shocking! Former Indian manager claims India and England Manchester Test fixed

Few hours after BCCI declared MS Dhoni as the skipper for both Asia cup and World T20, controvery marred the Indian captain.

The former manager of the Indian team has alleged fixing against the Indian skipper. The then manger Sunil Dev, who travelled with the Indian team during the 2014 tour of England, has been caught on tape alleging that MS Dhoni had thrown the Manchester Test.

Dev has been recorded on a spy camera saying Dhoni’s decision to bat in Manchester under cloudy conditions was dubious. He also claimed that he brought the controversial decision to the attention of then BCCI president N Srinivasan, who chose to do nothing.

When asked on tape if he thought Dhoni had fixed the game, Dev responds, “100 percent.”

The sting was conducted by Hindi daily Sun Star, who posted their recording to YouTube.

However, Dev has since then rubbished the claims and said he is planning to sue the newspaper.

In the Manchester Test, India opted to bat and reduced to 4 for 8 in the opening hour and scored 152 in first and 162 in second innings, eventually lost the match by an innings and 54 runs.

Dev alleged that Dhoni’s decision to bat, gave advantage to English bowlers.
