South African batsman celebrates birthday in style, scores record 490 runs in one-day match

Cricket is a game of uncertainties. But a South African batsman took it to another level by scoring 490 runs in a one-day match on Saturday.

Shane Dadswell, who was celebrating his 20^th birthday, managed to achieve this feat in mere 151 balls.

The youngster hit 57 sixes and 27 fours in a match between his club NWU Pukke and Potch Dorp 1^st.

Dadswell was supported by Ruan Haasbroek, who scored 104 runs in 54 balls.

NWU Pukke managed to put 677 runs for 3 wickets on the board. In reply, Potch Dorp 1^st posted 290/9 in 50 overs.

The South African batsman didn’t stop there as he also picked 3 wickets for just 37 runs.
