Over the years, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been a true icon for the Indian team. He has been one of the most successful skippers to have played this beautiful game, Dhoni has done more than just enough to let in the state; Jharkhand is recognized at the world stage. Now, after almost 15 years of International cricket, the tourist from all around the globe come to India to see Jharkhand, more to see State’s baby than anything else.

With this, the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) officials have finally repaid the former skipper by naming the south stand after him. The south stand at the JSCA stadium will now be known as ‘MS Dhoni Pavilion’ and a placard has already been installed in the stadium. It’s so beautifully written, that as a spectator it doesn’t matter if you’re sitting in North, East, or West stand, the sight from every angle will be a pure delight to watch.

Dhoni, who made his International debut in 2004 against Bangla Tigers, has made big steps in the International circuit. Battling a number of obstacles on the way, he fought his way to the top and created his legacy in Indian colours. Ranchi lad is one of the most successful cricketers in the world today. Today, even after achieving all three ICC tournaments, the hunger is still there, which speaks volumes of his character.

Dhoni has already been honoured by the State’s highest civilian order - Jharkhand Ratna and has also been conferred with the Padma Bhushan - India's third-highest civilian award. He played 90 Test matches for India before retiring from the longest format of the game in 2014 against Australia.

He has 4876 runs, 10415 runs, and 1548 runs in Tests, ODIs and T20Is respectively. Dhoni also just three games shy of becoming the wicket-keeper to have featured in the most number of International games. As of now, Mark Boucher occupies the first spot.

Going ahead, MS Dhoni will look to continue his dream run against Australia.
