Stuart Broad became the second England bowler to join the 400 Test wickets club on Thursday after dismissing New Zealand batsman Tom Latham on day one in Auckland.

While coming into this day-night contest, Broad was on 399 and celebrated the landmark as he claimed the wicket of opener Latham after the dinner break.

He joins fellow team-mate and a long-time opening partner James Anderson (524*), he was the first player from England to get 400 Test wickets in May 2015.

Among the 15 bowlers who have gone past the 400-Test wicket milestone, 10 are fast bowlers and five are spinners. However, the top three wicket takers in Test cricket are all spinners led by Sri Lanka's spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan - 800 wickets.

Broad’s 400 victim came in his 115th Test match, the 32-year-old has been one of the most devastating bowlers in recent times. His career best stands at 8-15 against the Aussies in the fourth Ashes Test of 2015.
