It seems Indian middle order batsman Suresh Raina is in trouble not for his bad performance in ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2016, but due to match-fixing allegations. According to reports he is allegedly involved in match-fixing allegations just ahead of India's semi-final clash against West Indies, Mumbai.
As per media reports, the left handed batsman was earlier being investigated by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on possible involvement in match-fixing, after being seen with a woman, who is known to be a close associate of a bookie.
Sri Lankan cricket has written a letter to BCCI, complaining about Raina’s involvement in events on the night of June 18, 2010 had been published in Sri Lankan newspapers.
At present, Raina is part of the national team, which is participating in the sixth edition of the ICC World Twenty20.
