New Delhi:

Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team are trailing the three-match ODI series against Australia 0-1 after their 34-run loss in the Sydney ODI. The team heads to Adelaide in what is a must-win situation for the side. Prior to the match, Kohli shared a photo with Anushka Sharma and this has resulted in severe trolling from social media users. Many users pointed out that Kohli should be practising and some stated his recent ‘poor’ form, having been dismissed for 23 in the Test match and for 3 in the ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia made 288/5 thanks to fifties from Peter Handscomb, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja but it was Jason Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson who ripped out the top order to leave India reeling at 4/3 after four overs.

Despite Rohit Sharma’s 22nd century and MS Dhoni’s 68th fifty, India lost the game and this has not gone down well with many users. Kohli shared the photo on his official Twitter handle and here is a sample of some of the Tweets which trolled the Indian cricket team captain.

The trolling of Virat Kohli for sharing a photo with Anushka Sharma shows that trolls have nothing better to do in life. Their trolling indicates the short term memory loss, having conveniently forgotten that Kohli’s Indian cricket team won a Test series in Australia, which is the first time any Asian nation has won a Test series Down Under. The trolls point out to Kohli’s ‘poor’ form. Many trolls have conveniently forgotten that Kohlil’s dismissal for 3 in the Sydney ODI was the first time in 22 innings that Kohli had fallen for a single digit score.

Trolls pointed out to his dismissal in the Sydney Test match for 23 but they conveniently overlook the fact that Kohli managed to average 40 with a brilliant century on a tough wicket in Perth during the recently concluded series. Adelaide, which is the venue for the second ODI, has great memories for Kohli, who scored a century in his last ODI during the league game against Pakistan in the 2015 World Cup.
