Virat Kohli’s century has dazzled spectators all over the world. His consistency has been phenomenal, so much so that many analysts are pondering that Kohli is pushing the barriers of what can be possible.
In the current series against West Indies, Kohli has broken several records, including the fastest to 10,000 ODI runs beating Sachin Tendulkar’s mark. He has also hit four consecutive centuries in ODIs in India, including a hat-trick in the series against West Indies alone.

It was during his monumental century in Vizag which saw former cricketer now turned commentator Aakash Chopra tweeted, “Heard that Oxford Dictionary is considering replacing ‘Consistency’ with ‘Kohli’. Makes a lot of sense.”
There was lot of appreciation for the Tweet but former England opener Nick Compton countered Chopra’s tweet and this resulted in a flurry of abuse from social media users.
Compton pointed out that the consistency was achieved against West Indies, who are perceived to be a weak team. One user, in response, called Compton m*******d. When pointed out the meaning, Compton said, “I know my favorite word it’s what i think of Kohli.”
Here is the complete thread of the exchange between Compton and the user

Kohli’s streak has been phenomenal in very sense of the word. However, there are occasions when certain statements on social media spoil the entire occasion.
