Former South African Cricket Jacques Kallis on Wednesday posted a picture of him with his beard and mustache half shaved on Instagram. Kallis, who is known for hitting the ball out of the park, left his fans amused with his new look. But there is a noble cause behind his new beard look.
Actually, Kallis took up 'Save The Rhino' challenge in South Africa. This required him to shave off half his facial and chest hair in order to raise awareness and money to save the rhino population in the country. "Going to be an interesting few days. All for a good cause Rhinos and golf development @alfreddunhill," he wrote in his Instagram post.
Save The Rhino is a non-profit organisation working towards protecting the animal. If poaching and habitat loss is not stopped, rhinos will be critically endangered in the next 20 years. The organisation collaborates with partners to support endangered rhinos in Africa and Asia and Kallis was also part of this.
