Why Indian skipper Virat Kohli is not happy with BCCI

Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli is not happy with BCCI, in fact he sounded quite unsatisfied with the board for not giving enough time to prepare for the tough South Africa tour.

The Indian team will fly to South Africa on December 27, only two days after finishing the Sri Lanka series.

However, Kohli didn’t name the board directly but his complaints of a tight schedule clearly shows the talented cricketer is not happy the way series are finalised.

Kohli said, "Had we got a month off ideally, we would have done a proper preparation in a camp sort of scenario but we have to sort of make do with what we have."

South African wickets are different from subcontinent, they are usually bouncy and favour fast bowlers unlike Indian wickets which gives spinners an upper hand.

In such a short span of two days, it is quite difficult for Indian bowlers and batsmen to get used of the bouncy South African tracks and weather conditions.

And to get over this, Virat Kohli had asked for bouncy tracks for the Sri Lanka series as a substitute for practice for the upcoming South Africa tour.

When Kohli was asked about this, he said, "Yes (I had), because unfortunately we get only two days before we fly to South Africa after this series gets over. So we have no choice but try to be in a game situation and think of what's coming ahead of us."

Acting BCCI president CK Khanna said the board needs to seriously assess Kohli's view.

"Virat is the Indian captain and his view point on cricketing matters should be taken with utmost seriousness. We are proud how the team is performing but if players are feeling fatigued, we need to have a broader view on the issue," Khanna told PTI.

Indian will play three Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is against South Africa beginning from January 5 in Cape Town.
