Seven times champion Roger Federer shall be taking on Canada's Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals of the men's singles at Wimbledon. Federer had beaten Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to book a berth in the quarterfinals.
The big serving Raonic secured a berth in the last eight by beating Germany's Alexander Zverev in an epic five set marathon. Raonic had beaten Federer in the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2016. Federer is bidding to become the first player to win eight Wimbledon titles.
In the other quarterfinals scheduled on Wednesday, defending champion Andy Murray shall be locking horns against American Sam Queerey. Meanwhile Serbia's Novaj Djokovic shall take on hard hitting Czech Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinal encounter. US Open champion Marin Cilic shall be taking on Gilles Muller of Luxembourg who knocked out Rafael Nadal in a pulsating five set encounter.
