Neymar has surprisingly admitted that he is the best player in the world, only to add that Cristiano Ronaldo and former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi belong to another plant.
Both Ronaldo and Messi have been awarded five Ballon d’Or each and have dominated footballing world’s individual awards for the past decade.
Neymar, who became the most expensive player after joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in a 222 million euro deal in August 2017, is popularly considered to take over from Messi and Ronaldo at some point in future.
"The two who are above all others today are Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi," Neymar said to a Brazilian YouTube channel.
"For all modesty, today I am the best player in the world - because they are from another planet."
The Brazilian megastar has twice finished third in the Ballon d’Or rankings behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but could be a leading contender for the award for the 2018 prize should he steer Brazil to World Cup glory.
