The seventeenth edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India shall commence from October 6. The tournament shall be played in six international standard venues across India with the grand finale to be hosted at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on October 28. This is the first time India is hosting a major FIFA tournament. The competition featuring twenty-four of the best U-19 teams in the world shall witness the sides battling for the prestigious trophy across fifty-two games played over the space of twenty-two days.
The twenty-four teams have been split into six groups of four each. So here are the groups in which the twenty-four teams have been drawn
GROUPS:
GROUP A - INDIA, USA, COLOMBIA AND GHANA
GROUP B - PARAGUAY, MALI, NEW ZEALAND, TURKEY
GROUP C - IRAN, GUINEA, GERMANY AND COSTA RICA
GROUP D - DPR KOREA, NIGER, BRAZIL, SPAIN
GROUP E - HONDURAS, JAPAN, NEW CALEDONIA, FRANCE
GROUP F - IRAQ, MEXICO, CHILE, ENGLAND
