All India Football Federation(AIFF) and Amity University on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the objective of cooperation in development and promotion of football in India.
The MoU focuses on innovation and execution of research projects and establishing a robust education system in areas of coaching and football administration.
AIFF secretary Kushal Das said, "This is a great opportunity created by AIFF and Amity University for those interested in technical and management education in the field of football.
"The objective of this MoU is to provide exposure to Indian professionals of state-of-the-art knowhow in global football as well as to carry out cutting-edge research domestically to enhance football knowledge in India."
Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University,said that the MoU aims to fulfil AIFF's goal of creating an efficient football ecosystem and pave way for competitive success at international stage. Dr. Kalpana Sharma, Director Amity School of Physical Education and Sports Sciences expressed the need for standardised coach education program for the university graduates and physical education professionals through integrating coach education program within the curriculum.
