Christiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant hat-trick against Bayern Munich as Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 4-2 to reach Champions League semifinals.
The Portugal captain put Madrid level at 2-2 in the first period of extra time as he created history by becoming the first player to reach 100 Champions League goals.
Later on, he scored his third goal and Marco Asensio added a fourth to compound Madrid's problems.He has now scored 85 goals in 85 appearances in the Champions League for Madrid.
Further, he also netted 15 in the competition and one in a qualifier for Manchester United prior to moving to the Spanish capital in 2009. Tuesday's treble extended Ronaldo's lead over Barcelona rival Lionel Messi as the top scorer in Champions League history.
Messi has 94, 11 of which have come in this season as the competition's top scorer.
