World Champions Germany crushed Mexico 4-1 in the semifinal encounter to set up a title clash against Chile in the Confederations Cup final on Sunday.

Germany secured a clinical performance on the back of a brace by attacking midfielder Leon Goretzka who scored twice in a devastating opening to Friday's 4-1 semi-final win over Mexico. Attacking midfielder Goretzka gave Germany a decisive lead in Sochi with goals on six and eight minutes before Timo Werner and Amin Younes netted Germany's second-half goals.

Chile had beaten European Champions Portugal in the first semifinal on Thursday. The world champions will now play Chile in Sunday's final in St Petersburg.
