African soccer giants Mali arrived in Mumbai on Monday for soccer's upcoming showpiece event, the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Mali, who have been placed in Group B, will play their opening group fixture against Paraguay at the Navi Mumbai stadium on the 6 of the October.
Group B comprises of Turkey and New Zealand apart from Mali and Paraguay. The twenty-four teams have been divided into six groups of four teams each.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup is scheduled to take place between the 6 and 28 October across six venues in India.India is hosting the tournament for the first time. Apart from Navi Mumbai, the games will be played at Kochi, Goa, Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
